William Perez set to start Braves’ spring opener

Since the first spring training game starts Tuesday against the Orioles, we’re wondering about what the rotation will be like this spring as their mix of the young players and veterans get a chance to compete for a chance to start.

Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez recently revealed his plans for the opening week with MLB.coms Mark Bowman, and he stated that the young player William Perez will start in Tuesdays spring opener.

After Perez pitches this Tuesday, the team will start looking at some of their young pitchers who are also in the mix for the rotation.

Gonzalez and Roger McDowell will keep an open mind this spring as the young players get a chance to see if they can start.
