Breaking News: Dream Waives Cierra Burdick

The Atlanta Dream have waived forward Cierra Burdick today to finalize their roster move. During this process, Atlanta signed center Markeisha Gatling, former Seattle Storm vet to fill Cierra’s spot. Burdick the former University of Tennessee Lady Vol, averaged 2.7 ppg, 2.1 rebounds, o.3 blocks, & o.7 assist for the Dream. Burdick was a 2nd year player for the Dream, she was picked up last year during her rookie season after being waived at the beginning of the 2015 season by the Los Angeles Sparks. During the 2015 season, Burdick suffered a foot injury that led to her sitting out for the rest of the season. This year she was able to average 0.4 points & played only 3.7 minutes in the 8 games she played.  Cierra is well-known for her hard work & dedication as well as her positive attitude.
