Dan Quinn already has announced he will be working with Vic Beasley this off season to become a hybrid player. Quinn would like Beasley to play DE in the nickle defense, and play more linebacker in the base 4-3 package. Quinn wants to work with Beasley on his inside counters as well saying he has amazing speed, but wants to convert some into power moves. Beasley is looking to be the next Bruce Irvin in Dan Quinn’s scheme, but will do more in his role than Irvin. Beasley has the tools to be a Von Miller caliber of rusher at (OLB) in the base package. As we saw last year Vic got an interception while dropping into coverage, and that indicated he can most likely handle the new role of switching from DE, and (OLB) in separate packages. Beasley is looking to become a hybrid rusher and have an amazing sophomore season in 2016.
