After starting the season with a streak ( going 5-0 ) , the Braves looked like a playoff contender. Even though the record hovered around .500 , the effort and drive used was incredible. After seeing the first knock- out blow when Craig Kimbrel and Melvin Upton Jr. was traded to the San Diego Padres for ; Cameron Maybin , Jace Peterson , and Eric Stults. I would bet that every Braves fan was standing in a puddle of confusion and scratching their heads.
With the addition of A. J. Pierzynski (38) from the St.Louis Cardinals, and Shelby Miller (24) have given some serious support to the organization. Pierzynski has recorded a .293 BA and 41 RBIS. Only one can wonder where the Braves would be without A.J , as well as Jace Peterson (25) , and Cameron Maybin (28) Both Maybin and Peterson have 50+ RBI seasons and continue to impress , but like every rebuilding season…It’s painful.
The Braves are currently [54-76] and 18 games out of first place. I think everyone saw this season being slightly disappointing but no where near the outcome that is before us. The Braves are trying to get as many prospects as possible to stack up for the 2016 season, and to get ready for the move in 2017 to Suntrust Park. So all I can say is cover your eyes and hope for the best.
