Braves Deadline Blockbuster?

We all knew something like this would happen before the non-waiver trade deadline. It’s just the rumored pieces involved that are shocking. It began with the rumor of a three team trade involving the Dodgers and Marlins. The third team was not revealed and the speculation began. To everyone’s surprise the Braves were announced as the third team in the trade. Ken Rosenthal reports that the Braves will deal Alex Wood, Jim Johnson, Jose Peraza, and possibly Luis Avilan for a return of Hector Olivera, a major league bullpen arm and a minor league arm. Coming from the Marlins is the 35th pick in next years first year player draft. Of course this trade is still in the works and nothing is official yet. It could fall completely apart while we sleep. We’ll update you on this story as it developes.
