The Atlanta Hawks have just signed 7’3 center Walter “Edy” Tavares. Tavares is now the tallest player in the NBA, surpassing Lakers center, Roy Hibbert. He was the 43rd pick in the 2014 NBA Draft by Atlanta.
His overwhelming size at 7’3 provides a major advantage for the Hawks’ front-court. He is a little bit off, skill wise, but give Coach Budenholzer and his staff time and he will soon be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years.
