On Thursday, Atlanta Hawks head athletic trainer Wally Blase and assistant trainer Pete Radulovic were told that they would not be re-signed by the team.
After being assistant trainer for the Chicago Bulls for four seasons, Blase (pictured above) has spent his past 15 seasons with the Hawks. In addition, Blase has served on the executive board of the National Basketball Athletic Trainers Association (NBATA) for 14 years.
Radulovic (pictured above) has been with the Hawks for 18 seasons as assistant trainer and director of player performance.
After letting go of Blase and Radulovic on Thursday and losing strength and conditioning coach, Jeff Watkinson, earlier this offseason, the Hawks are expected to play in the Summer League without a training staff.
There is no timetable set for the Hawks to fill these positions. Stay updated on the latest Atlanta sports news by checking our website every day!
