Falcons Release Sam Baker

The Falcons have released the veteran OT Sam Baker on Monday. Baker was first round pick for the Falcons (21st overall) in the 2008 NFL Draft. As a Falcons he has started 61 games and played 70.

I do not mind the realease of Baker because of his recent injuries and also the fact that he might not fit in the scheme that Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan is planning. The Falcons have plenty of back up options at the OT position, so losing Baker shouldn’t affect us.
