Braves Sweep Marlins

Shelby Miller pitched a terrific game today against the Marlins to help the Braves win 6-0. Atlanta improves to 6-0 at Marlins Park this season with today’s win. In his fifth win this season, Miller pitched 9 innings and recorded 4 strikeouts, allowed 0 runs, and 2 hits. Miller has looked fantastic through the first part of this season and could be an early Cy Young candidate if he keeps it up.
Jace Peterson led the Braves’ offense as he hit 2-4 with 2 RBI. The Braves recorded five of their six runs in the second inning. Cameron Maybin showed off his speed and recorded his 4th stolen base of the season.
The Braves will now head home for a two game series against the Tampa Bay Rays in interleague play. Mike Foltynewicz (2-0, 4.24 ERA) will start the next game for Atlanta and square off against Nate Karns (3-1, 3.77 ERA). The game starts at 7:10 pm ET on Tuesday and will be aired on SportSouth.
