Braves Still Undefeated in Marlins Park

Today the Atlanta Braves won yet again in Marlins Park, beating Miami 5-3. Braves’ starter Alex Wood picked up his second win of the year and Braves’ closer Jason Grilli earned his 11th save of the season.
Wood only had one strikeout, however he only allowed one earned run and he picked off two runners. Grilli has done well as Craig Kimbrel’s replacement with the situation he was put in. Although Grilli has an ERA of 5.11, he has had 11 saves in 12 opportunities.
It was a memorable day for Braves’ second baseman Jace Peterson, as he hit his first major league homerun which was also a grand slam. Marlins’ outfielder Giancarlo Stanton blasted a solo shot for his 11th homerun of the season, but was not able to help his team pick up the win.
Cheer on your Atlanta Braves as they look to sweep the series against Miami at 1:10 pm ET. Braves’ ace Shelby Miller (4-1, 1.60 ERA) will face Henderson Alvarez (0-2, 4.50 ERA).
