Atlanta Braves at Miami Marlins Preview

Today, the Atlanta Braves look to take on the Miami Marlins in the second game of a three game series. The Braves are undefeated at Marlins Park in the regular season and hope to keep that way. Alex Wood will be on the mound for Atlanta and is 1-2 this season with 31 strikeouts and a 4.28 ERA. Mat Latos gets the start for Miami and is 1-3 this season with 28 strikeouts and a 4.72 ERA. This game should be a high scoring game with the way these two pitchers have played this year.
The X-factor of the game will be Marlins power-hitter Giancarlo Stanton. No pitcher wants to face Stanton, especially a pitcher with an ERA over 4.00 like Wood. Stanton is hitting .258 with 10 homeruns and 35 RBI. The rest of the Marlins lineup is pretty frightening as well with only one player batting below .250. If Wood is able to pitch at the level Braves fans know he can, we will be in for a good game.
