Great day for Atlanta sports as the Hawks advance back to the conference finals for the first time since 1961. But for you baseball fans the Braves win 5-3 in Miami against the Marlins.
The Atlanta Braves are now 4-0 at Marlins park against the Marlins this season, and are now 5-2 overall against them so far.
The 1st score of the night came in the bottom of the 1st inning when Ozuna singled to center field and allowed Gordon to score. The Braves were quick to take the lead 2-1 in the top of the 2nd when Julio Teheran hit a ground ball right past the pitcher and the second basemen allowing Maybin, and Cunningham to score for his very first MLB run. The Marlins tied the game back up at 2 all in the 3rd with a home run. In the top of the 4th Cunningham would get his second run with a hit from Maybin.
Another run would not be scored until the bottom of the 7th with a homerun from Stanton. In the top of the 8th the Braves scored twice to take the lead 5-3. Jason Grilli would then close the game with no strikeouts but plays from the fielders. Braves win 5-3.
